Diabetics at Pizza Hut

Pizza is neither a great meal nor the worst for diabetes. All you need is some fact check and monitoring while ordering your pizza. Diabetics can opt for thin crust or skinny pizza at Pizza Hut and avoid the cheese topping to cut down on the excess fat and sodium. If you have diabetes, then ensure to check your portion size when you order a pizza. One or max. two slices are enough. You can also avoid meat if possible and go for wings as a meat option.

Foods to Avoid at Pizza Hut for Diabetics:

You must avoid Meat Lovers Pizza with Original Pan Crust as it contains over 1000mg sodium and will add 470 calories in your meal. You should also skip Super Supreme Pizza Large Original Pan Slice which is too high in sodium and fat. Chicken wings are often tempting but you must control and restrict yourself from ordering Traditional Honey BBQ Bone-in Wings as it can add up to your sugar levels if you eat too many. On average, a person orders or consumes six chicken wings pieces in a day.

Sides must be avoided at all costs especially if it's Bacon Cheddar Fries with Ranch Dipping Cup for its high sodium content. You must also avoid New York Style Cheesecake with Applesauce as dessert as one slice of this dessert item contains 86g sugar. Pizza Hut also offers other Italian dishes such as Pasta. However, you must skip Spaghetti with Meat Sauce and Meatballs and Garlic Bread as it is too high in sodium and sugar.

High Cholesterol at Pizza Hut

Whether large, medium or small, a pizza can boost your cholesterol levels instantly. You shouldn't eat more than one slice of any pizza your order at Pizza Hut. If you're concerned with your high cholesterol, then it is wise to take your friends to Pizza Hut and share pizza among them slice by slice. You can also try pasta at Pizza Hut but ensure that you are not adding any dressing or extra cheese as you order pasta.

I like the name and concept of this pizza joint, which delivers pies via bike to the Winter Park Resort Village. The pie was A-OK, with NY style thin crust that is prevalent in CO, but kind of loaded with toppings. Can't complain about that, but I did find the sauce a bit lacking in flavor, and the whole pizza was just a bit overwhelmed by cheese and toppings and lacked punch. Overall, though, can't beat it for local convenience food.

good atmosphere, totally laid back. Pizza was okay, came fast which was nice. would go again if looking for pizza in the village at winter park - beat eating on the hill for twice the cost.

I never expected one of the best slices of pizza would have been in a resort in the middle of the Colorado Rockies. The crust here is amazing along with the awesome sauce. If you're in the Winterpark resort area and like pizza, this is a must.

Decent pizza in about 15 minutes. Basically all the restaurants up here are pretty mediocre at best. If you are trying to figure out where to go, go here or Lime. They are not OMG, but they are at least solid.

Hit up this little joint at the end of a good day of skiing. There's not much for ambiance here, but as pizza by the slice goes, it was really quite good. The pizza is a thin crust style, backed up fresh upon ordering, and available by the slice. It's a little pricey, but it's located at a ski resort, so what do you expect... The crust was crispy, the toppings fresh, and the flavor great. Definitely a good spot to stave off any hunger after a day on the slopes.

The bunnyhop was phenomenal. By far the best bbq pizza I have ever tasted. Just a hint of bbq sauce compared to most that are smothered in it. Great pizza, unbelievable!!!!!!!

Pizza Pedalr first struck me as 'just another pizza place,' but in a few key ways, it's definitely anything but. You'll find all the usual suspects for toppings, but the sauces are another story. Sweet Thai chili, garlic infused oil, and barbeque sauce in addition to standard marinara lay the groundwork for all kinds of yummy possibilities. My husband and I felt like a snack après ski - we weren't in the mood for a full meal yet, and we didn't feel like driving into town, so we walked up to this cute spot and opted to split a slice. While that sounds pretty wussy at face value, it bears mentioning that a 'slice' is 1/4 of a pizza according to Pizza Pedalr. And all slices are made to order with whatever combination of toppings you choose - read, no day-old cheese pizzas sitting in the back waiting to be popped in the oven after being sprinkled with toppings. So grab a beer from their modest selection to wash down your pie and help replenish all the calories you burned either shredding mad gnar or narrowly escaping an endo on the last switchback. You'll even have a chance to exchange stories about your day's adventures with the patrons next to you at the bench-style seating.

This is my favorite place to eat in Winter Park ski village. The pizza crust is crispy. The portions are big and the price is reasonable. Free refills on drinks. Love it!

Overall our experience was good. Good autmosphere, good pizza, the only improvement could be the friendliness of the staff. Kind of had the feel that one was looked down upon for not being a local, but not so bad I didnt enjoy myself. Definitely good pizza though. Oh, and they had honey for the crust :)

Good pizza if it wasn't for the employees I would have given this place 5 stars. The man who appeared to be the owner seemed as if it was an inconvenience to take our order. Again if it wasn't for the environment that the owner creates this place would be the best. However, he appears that he doesn't want to make a profit instead live miserably in the best ski town ever.

We went here today due to the yelp reviews. We had a small and a medium pizza and 1 soda and the cost was $33. I realize that this is a resort area but these charges are obscene. As for the pizza - I did not like it very much. The crust was too much like eating a cracker. Maybe it's because I like a thin NY style pizza but I've had other pizza in Colorado and it didn't taste like this. You have to get your own drinks, silverware, condiments, and they ask you to please clean up your own table. They also have a tip jar at the register. What would I be tipping for? I'm doing all the serving work. For $33 they should at least clear the tables. As for other comments. All food preparation was being done with bare hands. I don't know about Colorado laws, but Pennsylvania requires gloves be warn. The pizza 'chef' was also chewing gum the whole time we were there.

So good! What a delightful surprise. My husband and I eat our pizzas sans cheese and meat and this was one of our best! Oftentimes while on vacation in a resort area one is captive to whatever is readily available. Pizza Pedaler is a great find for anyone staying in the Village of Winter Park. Yum!

This is consistently the best hand tossed pizza I have ever eaten! My favorite is the granny gear. It is fresh and wonderful every time. Not greasy. Perfect.

Pretty damn good pizza. Close tithe lifts. Quick friendly service. Would return.

  • Breck M.

Solid pizza! Everything was tasty. The place is cramped. If you hit their happy hour 3-6, you can have their PBR special. $5 for 2 cheese slices and a PBR draught. Nice option after a short walk over from the lift. Most of the locals speak highly of Hernandos Pizza/pasta downtown. They're suppose to have a honey wheat crust. We wished we would have had time to stop by there.

  • Pam A.

The tastiest pizza I have had, loved the artichokes and the pizza crust. Staff are friendly and helpful. Will definitely call again on future visits to the resort.

Super tasty pizza in the best ski town ever! If you're skiing in Winter Park, drop in for a MEGA slice of the Yard Sale, sooooo yummy, not to mention such good value at around $7 for what is really two decent sized slices of epic pizza...

  • John J.

Good pizza (and the only pizza joint in the Winter Park resort). Six of us went to Pizza Pedair one day and Hernandos three days later. Hernando's won. With that said, you're not going to go wrong at Pizza Pedair -- particularly if you've just come down the mountain and you've got that pizza craving.

  • Steven L.

VERY good pizza. Made fresh. Very tasty. Nice staff too. Would definitely go back. All meat pizza was my choice. Very good price for what you get. Get by the slice and try multiples. Thin crust made fresh. If i had a complaint it would be that it is too thin. I like lots of sauce with a crisp crust which is very hard to find. I'd go back in a heartbeat. It does take a while to get your pizza BUT its fresh and hot.

Love this place! Great pizza and friendly staff. I'll go here over Hernando's any day!

My dad and I came here off season. There were only two other people in the place when we walked in. The cashier was super nice and the guy tossing the pizza seemed super laid back. I ordered a medium pizza and some wings. Took about 15 minutes for the pizza to come out and took the wings about 15 minutes. Super fast. The pizza we had was hand thrown, topped with pineapple jalapeño, cream cheese, and pepperoni. Super amazing. My recommend is to put cream cheese on any pizza. The wings were okay. Probably wouldn't order them again - but that's okay. I would say this place is a 3 but the pizza kicked it up to a four. Could be better though. Maybe if the crust was a little crispier.

  • Yelp S.

Cashier was discouraging. 1st thing she said when we walked up was "There's a 30 min wait" not the way to greet your customers. My 9 yr daughter was getting parmesean cheese and pepper for our to go order off of the cart labeled "please help yourself", some old guy, I hope it wasn't the owner, came to oversee her when I was standing right there. I was very disappointed that I paid for double beef. Very skimpy!! The Caesar salad was good and a nice amount of green.Overall, I won't go back again :(

  • Lisa M.

I thought the crust tasted slightly like a sweet soft pretzel. Not in a good way. Although the people I was with loved it - they dipped the crust in honey. Lots of fun pizzas to choose from. Caesar salad was enough to split.

We came here on a Sunday night after arriving at the resort. We were all exhausted after our long drive so we wanted something quick. When we entered the place I was shocked at how tiny it was inside. Just two long tables (sat around 10 each) and a small 2 person table. There were not menus on the wall and it took us a while to locate where the menus were (on the counter). It was clearly stated that we needed to order at the counter. I found the pizza options rather unique and interesting (in a good way). I was too tired to think so I let my husband pick the pizza. He chose the Snowmine which had a Thai flair to it. We opted for the large since leftovers were desired. It took around 15 mins which was pretty good timing in my opinion. The confusion continued for us to find forks, napkins, etc. I think this was largely due to us all being so exhausted as it was labeled. The pizza was large, colorful, and looked delicious. The first bite was just as anticipated. It was yummy! It was sweet, spicy, and more! The crust was also a bit on the sweet side but I enjoyed it. I was a bit surprised by the overall price but this is a ski resort area so it's to be expected. Give this place a try if you want something yummy and quick.

Not a bad place to go but it fills up quickly. I would suggest planning your meal before peak times. There is very limited seating. The pizza is good though and not very expensive. We also had a few brews. The service was friendly. During the warmer times there is outdoor seating, but that would not have worked out for us on a snowy day.
